Nature not only cures our problems but also teaches methods to deal with our own selves. Even puranaas say that our mindset broadens when we visit various places and understand various people and situations in their very own contexts. Formal education teaches us “just” the methods. It just teaches the logic. However, to be useful to the practical world, one must consider emotional aspects of involved parties along with logic. This is where Loka Sanchaara (visiting around the places) helps us understand various people mindsets and their problems. Thus, Loka Sanchaara is mandated by our Puranaas at three important occasions of any King life. (1) Upon completion of education (i.e. before taking kingdom). (2) during the kingdom to take stock of people pulse on their own. (3) upon taking the spiritual journey. Thus, Loka Sanhaara teaches us understand the problems in a wider perspective that is important for our very own self to take important decisions. Loka Sanchaara enables us to think practically and thus we will start rethinking about our very own situation. In my opinion, this enhances our maturity and broadens our mindset giving us practical solutions to our problems.
It feels me good that my parents returned home safe from 18 days long trip, perhaps the longest pilgrim trip my parents ever visited so far. Along with Kasi (Varanasi), my parents covered pilgrim places like Naimisaarnyam, Gaya, Prayag, Haridwar, Rishikesh and New Delhi.
Kaasi Samaaradhana - We celebrated Kaasi Samaraadhana on November 21st, 2009 – the event that marks the completion of Kaasi trip. Till then, the tourists must be on one meal a day. I am happy to note various relatives joining our occasion and blessing us.
The key thing to note down here is that my parents could able to arrange end to end arrangements for this function that hosted 45 people just with one day notice. My brother being in Israel could not attend this function. The key thing is that we all got rejuvenated to feel the presence of our relatives.
